This was a makeup trip from September when Hurricane Maria decided to make a presence, causing our party trip to be cancelled. Eddie and I first experienced Breathless Cabo September 2016, where we LOVED the vibe, loved the party, loved the food…Breathless motto is “Welcome to the Party.” April 2017, we visited Breathless Cancun, and loved it more than Cabo-which we loved. Breathless Punta Cana was next on the list.
We arrived to the resort, and was greeted with a purple slushy drink..not sure what it was, but figured it’d be rude not to drink it-party started within 5 minutes of arrival!!! Our friends have already arrived and had Arturo greet us to check in for our stay, where we upgraded to Xhale for an additional $210 for 3 nights. Xhale is a great upgrade where the rooms are upgraded, and in a separate building, top shelf liquor, and we had a butler Eudi, who was very above and beyond for our party of 8, celebrating a 40th birthday…or as our koozies said, “more fun than 2 20 year olds.”
Because we went during spring break month, the resort was at capacity, but it didn’t seem overwhelming. The breakfast buffet was my favorite where i had fresh omelettes daily, with fresh mimosas, followed by sparkling rose…it would be insulting if we didn’t contribute to the party scene, so we all made sure we were not empty handed.
Pool parties were all day every day, with live DJ and some games and entertainment. We had only one day of sun, but that’s ok….we all still had plenty of fun!

Nightlife was fun…lots of great music and dancy dancy…only awkward thing was the resort next door, NOW ONYX and Breathless has access to each other’s property, so there were some youngins that came over for some party entertainment..guess it didn’t matter to our party, we had a great time!!
All in all, We had a great time, regardless of the weather cooperating for one day. I still rank Breathless as an amazing and fun adult resort for a party atmosphere, but I have to say I think Cancun ranked 1st, Cabo 2nd, and Punta Cana 3rd…..
