TORONTO CANADA RECAP

It is always bitter sweet on the day we leave, especially because we always have a great time, but at the same time, I can’t wait to be back home! Weather was blah Friday, rain all day Saturday and Sunday, and of course we leave today, and it is nice and sunny without a cloud in the sky. Oh well, we made the best of the rain, carried an umbrella, and didn’t let it scare us!

Toronto was so fun! We arrived Thursday night, normally we fly in early Fridays, but thought we’d try this out instead. Glad we did because we woke up Friday relaxed and ready to start our trip!

We decided to rent a car last minute for $83.65usd. We looked up prices for airport transportation, and it was about $50cad each way for the short drive to our airbnb. So we decided to rent, and make Niagara Falls a day trip, and an impromptu trip to Niagara on the Lake. I LOVE little mom and pop shopping areas, and it was so nice here even though it was raining!

Friday: Starving Artist for breakfast, Niagara Falls, Niagara Brewing, then off to Niagara on the Lake where we visited The Exchange Brewery, Nina Gelateria, and The Epicurean…oh and a few visits to Tim Horton’s

Saturday: breakfast at Aziza Cafe, Kings Street West & Queens Street West were very entertaining! Dlish, Allbirds, Public House, Jimmy’s Coffee, Hocus Pocus, Butter Avenue, iHalo Crunch, Gabbys, Bar Hop, Soma Chocolate, Locals Only….

Sunday: breakfast at Starving Artist, Hockey Hall of Fame, Goose Island Toronto, Bloor Street Shopping, Pride Parade, Kemsington Market-Dolce Gelato, Kensington Brewing, Trinity Common, Manic Coffee, Sicilian Sidewalk, Antler

Monday: breakfast at Starving Artist, then airport….

Our airbnb was in the perfect location, great hosts, nice and clean, updated, minutes to lots, and while we planned to take public transportation everywhere, it was easier for us to Uber/Lyft to our furthest destination for the day and walk back. There was plenty of street parking, but we had to pay $24cad for street permit during our stay. The airbnb cost us $376.19 usd, Thursday night to Monday morning.

So many things we need to come back for. To see the Toronto sign, hang out in Distillery District, spend more time in Kensington, spend more time in downtown area, and plenty more to list!

Till next time, and there WILL be a next time….hoping for sometime in 2019!
