VEGAS BABY! Day 3

Slow start this morning, as expected from being inebriated for 12+ hours straight, but we made it out by 1030am! Today we plan to walk thru the south end of the strip, and stop off at Bellagio first to stop into Tiffany to see if they can clean my tarnished pieces. I read on blogs that cleaning is typically free, but to polish is $50 per piece and that some Tiffany’s charge just to clean? Well, its Vegas, so I could only guess they charge, but it’s worth checking out. I thought the lady said she would take all of the pieces, but when I took them all off she said only Tiffany items.. ok, that’s fine especially since she said she can clean for free.

We walked thru Bellagio, then Cosmpolitan, then Crystals Shoppes where we decided to shop now rather than later before dinner. I visited my friend Aldo at YSL where he sold me my 1st bag and I gave him a huge hug and he told me I was so cute! Eddie also reached out to him to buy me another bag afterwards (: So glad he was working, I introduced myself and told him the story if it would by chance spark his memory, but he was so sweet and totally played it like he remembered. I’m sure he didn’t remember, but that’s ok, I’m sure he helps a ton of people. My sole purpose was to buy a pair of sunglasses, so he overwhelmed me with a few dozen to try. We finally narrowed it down to 3 after starring at them all, trying on, etc. Shopping and making decisions can be so stressful in life…after what seems like forever, we took one out which just so happened to be the most expensive of the 3. Then came down to black classic with nose piece, or brown square.

It is a good thing I was 50% sober, or I would have bought both.

Well I narrowed it down to the classic black…for now (:

We walked the rest of Crystals, and glad I didn’t need anything else (: Kris found a table at the Aria and I made myself cozy at the bar while Kris lost $63…oh well.

We went into Planet Hollywood and walked thru the Miracle Mile Shops. I saw on the directory they had a Quay Australia store and needed to go in! I ended up buying Kris a pair of sunglasses at 20% off!

Tiffany’s was next on the list since we were almost back to the hotel. Holy moly! My tarnished bracelets are perfect again! They said they only cleaned it, and there was no need to polish!

Since we had time, we went back to Caesar’s to stop off at the Montecristo Cigar Bar again and smoke a few cigars, but we got side tracked

Went back to get ready for Margaritaville for $.05 Miller pours. FIVE CENTS!

A lady who was in her upper 60’s early 70’s sitting next to me gave me 3 of her beers, giggling and slurred to me “I’m sorry I have to give these to you, I cannot drink anymore, I’ve had 4 already!” And shows me 7 fingers lol. After a few minutes, she asked the bartender for more even though she gave me 3 of her full beers, but he told her in the most professional way I have ever heard anyone refuse to serve more. She turned to me and said, “I think he put me in a time out, c’mon lets go next door for $1 cocktails.” I smiled and kind of ignored her, and she says “c’mon lets drink!” So I got up and followed her for 3 steps and turned back around and sat back at bar. She was a mess! There was a bunch of people that was a mess, but for $.05 Miller pours 5pm-6pm, I would imagine there would be! At the Cromwell next door from 6pm-7pm, they have $1 cocktails, supposedly top shelf.

We then headed over to Mastro’s at the Crystals Shoppes to meet our long time friends, and Kris’s Godparents, Walter and Stephanie for 815pm reservations. Eddie knew Walter since kindergarten, and have maintained a great friendship over all these years! We’ve traveled together a few times, and even with them living in Vegas, we always make it a point to get together!

Kris ordered the 22oz ribeye, and here is my favorite Chillean seabass. I think he looks really excited to dig in!

Oh, and the famous butter cake..if you didn’t save room for dessert, excuse yourself and go throw up in the bathroom so you can indulge in this happy place, trust me!

We were at dinner for 3 hours, and because we were all talking so much, it definitely didn’t seem that long! This is when you know you have great conversations with great family!

Time to head back and get ready to leave in the morning!
