SAN FRANCISCO RECAP 2018

Well, this is the time of year I dread. One: this is our 9th and last trip for 2018. Two: this means the holidays are coming…which means its going to be darker earlier…which means its going to be cold…which means Seasonal Affective Disorder….which means I want to move every year to somewhere warm, but I’m all talk and chicken, so probably will continue to complain.

I was kind of nervous for this trip because a few clients told me that it would be cold and chilly and that I would need to layer and bring hats and gloves. I wore leggings and a t-shirt, and carried a zippered hoodie everyday, and only wore the hoodie at night. It was probably in the lower 70’s each day, and upper 50’s at night.

Our Friday plans 11.2.18 were:

We spent $76.61 on Uber rides, and my step count for Friday was 12,759

Uber total for the day was $49.18, and 14,718 steps.

Our Monday 11.5.18 plans were:

travel back home, Uber from hotel to airport was $27.79

Total Uber fares for the entire weekend was $185.93. I am glad we didn’t end up renting a car because that gave us freedom to drink whenever, and it saved us $50 a day to park at the hotel…plus looking for parking everywhere we went, and possibly paying to park. Also, we wouldn’t have found some of these great places to stop into if we drove! Oh, and wouldn’t have gotten 48,169 steps in for the weekend!

Our hotel stay at the Park Central Hotel was $558.18, Alcatraz was $76.70 round trip for 2.

Our flight Monday departed at 236pm and scheduled to arrive at Ohare 850pm. We purchased our tickets with 50,000 miles, and had to pay only $22.40 in taxes for 2 round trip tickets. Since $22.40 was all we spent out of pocket, and our seats were in the back half of the plane, I bought both of our seats in the front both ways for $306.39….Again, nothing out of pocket cuz we used miles to pay for the seats!

Another great and amazing fun filled vacation with the best travel husband in the world! One thing we didn’t do was go to Muir Woods, maybe next time..

Well, I’ll be on a 2-3 month dry spell since both Eddie and I are on lockdown for the holidays and work…frozen…with the blizzards…and lots of snow…
