DENVER DAY 2: BEET BOX, COORS BREWING, ROWDY KOMBUCHA, DENVER OKTOBERFEST

I set my alarm to 555am to hit snooze until  it was time to leave 640am to get us coffee down the block next to the hospital.  Google says its .20 miles, and they’re open Saturdays at 6, so I headed over. Thats nice, doors are all locked, and the sign says “closed on weekends.” So I google coffee shops, and Beet Box comes up. It’s a vegan bakery & cafe, who would’ve thought vegan would be so good lol!

Ok the donuts…get it..all of them….I was mad I ate the 2..oh well, we’re on “vacation”

We headed over to the Green Solution (Uber $7.31 plus tip) to pick up a few items for the weekend. This one was a fraction of the size of the other Green Solution we went to last year, but still nice. It was early enough (830am) that it wasn’t too busy, and we were able to go right upstairs. There was a small line, and you couldn’t walk around unless the budtenders were ready to help you.

That was fun, and we ordered another Uber to our airbnb, to head over to Coors Brewing. It was $43.32 Uber ride.

You can’t bring purses or bags, so we had to be creative with our appearance. I had a belt bag, so I turned it on my back and had my hoodie over it.

When my sister, Kayleen, and I came here May 2017, we were told the Coors Light in the tasting room is at 29 degrees (I think?) and Colorado mountain water is used. Let me tell you, this Coors Light in the tasting room is the best I have ever had!

We each got a wristband for 3 FREE drinks just going to the tasting room!  These aren’t little sissy sizes either, if I were to guess, the glasses are 10-12oz pours!

We finished our 3 glasses of beer, and now heading over to Boulders. 1st stop Rowdy Mermaid Kombucha, or Rayback Collective.

Here was my beer flight selections

We had Rowdy Mermaid Kombucha last year from Whole Foods, and was absolutely delish! We saw they had a brewery, and put it on the list to visit! Here is my flight of kombucha samples, my favorite was the Ginger

There were a few food trucks here, this is what I decided on, BBQ lettuce wraps!

We played corn hole too, idk who won, but it was a dumb game..only cuz I’m not good at it lol

We walked towards Boulder Beer, and stopped off at Gabee Coffee for a quick cup of caffeine

We finally made our way to Boulder Beer, for one of Eddie’s favorite porters, Chocolate Shake!

It was time to head back to the downtownish area for Denver Oktoberfest, about 40ish minutes back, $69.70 Uber ride. Most of us passed out on the ride, but we all had our 2nd wind and ready for more!

We stumbled into a bar where we went to the outside seating in the back where the guys decided to do Jameson shots. Yea no thank you…but here is Eddie’s proof he DOES do shots, don’t let him fool you…

We walked a little after that, and found another bar where the guys played some pool, and we did more alcohol consumption

Denver Oktoberfest was a street festival atmosphere with people drinking and having fun in the streets and in the bars. It was at this time that I was clearly too inebriated to take any pictures, but I know we had a fabulous time!

It was about midnight-ish maybe lol, and it was time to eat, so we walked to some place that was closed so we went to another place where we sat upstairs kind of rooftop seating. There was a ceiling, but no windows so it was pretty open. We had rib tips, which were just ok, but it the job and satisfied the hunger I didn’t realize I had.

It was a long fun-filled day, and time to head back to rest up for our last full day in Denver!
