SAN FRANCISCO 2018 DAY 2

It’s Saturday, and I wake up and feeling like a million bucks! We get ready quick and walk across the street to Starbucks for our morning jolt! Eddie found this breakfast place The Grove and we head over at 8am, since thats when they open.

It is literally the next street sign across from the hotel. They have outdoor seating, but it was too cold to sit so we went inside to order.

They have a decent selection of pastries and alcoholic beverages to choose from.

It was 8:04am and there was a line of 5 in front of us and about half a dozen people eating already. We both ordered the breakfast special, and I upgraded to avocado toast.

Food was good, toast was thick and sourdough like. We spent $35 for 2 breakfasts and Eddie’s pop.

Right next door is Peets Coffee and grabbed another round before we went back to get ready for another touristy day!

We Uber 23 minutes to Golden Gate Park  for $14.05. The driver took us to some random spot in the middle of no where, so we walked 25 minutes to a busier spot with more people so we can get picked up to go to Alcatraz. Sucks cuz I wish we got dropped off where we can look at stuff instead of just trees and grass…But we found a waterfall lol

The ride was 27 minutes and $18.30 to Fishermans Wharf where we went to Pier 33 to get on the ferry to Alcatraz at 1pm

Round trip tickets were $76.70 for both of us to Alcatraz .

What was nice about this tour is it’s self guided, and we got our own headphones and prerecorded device so we can walk and listen ourselves. The first picture is the shower area

Here’s a panoramic view looking at San Francisco from Alcatraz

I don’t mind these kind of tours because we’re not with a random group of people asking a bunch of necessary questions.

Okie, so we’re done and took the 235pm, and took a 15 minute ferry back and walked to Pier 39 where we stumbled across Biscoff coffee Ok, I LOVE Biscoff and the cookie spread…You get 2 free cookies with every coffee purchase!

Oh lookie…Beer 39 A beer place! We sat for a beverage and gazed into each others eyes as if no one was around. Yea right lol…We drank our beers while we figured out what to eat for dinner lol!

We decided on Pier Market for dinner, but it was a wait, so we walked around and found my friends, the Sea lions

These guys are so cute playing with each other! They were doing this the whole time we were there!

We got the text message that our table is ready, so we walked over to Pier Market.

We were seated kind of outside, like half inside and half outside and ordered a Pier Market beer. Look at how cute (:

Eddie ordered twin lobster tails, which he said was just eh…

I ordered the Pier Market Mixed grill which had fresh salmon, cod, and shrimp skewers. Mine was just ok also.

Service was ok, food was just ok. With tip was $105.41…oh well, at least we didn’t spend more…

Time for dessert!! We walked 20 min to ice cream Baked Bear

You make your own cookie or brownie ice cream sandwiches, choice of ice cream, and toppings

I mean really……So. Damn. Good.

Realistically we could have split one, but we also had no problem eating our own. Now that we’re feeling a bit guilty and stuffed, we walked 30 minutes to end the night at Barbary Coast

Yeap, another hot box! It was more busy tonight than last night, so we had to sit against the wall on some cushioned blocks. We definitely got the best people watching view since where we sat was literally against the back wall. After about 10-15 minutes, a young man probably in his early 20’s dressed like he came from a corporate security job with his sleeves rolled up and a walkie talkie in one hand, and a hard case under his arm. If I didn’t know any better, I would have thought he brought in his automatic rifle inside, his case was rather large lol. Nope, it was some fancy kind of paraphernalia…So clearly I am intrigued because I’m naive and have no idea what all these different contraptions are. So he clears an area and unpacks his hard case. I watch this guy carefully and slowly assemble all these pieces together to make this tower that appeared 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. He then takes out a small jar with a small spoon or spatula, dips it in the jar and levels it off eyeballing what looks like the entire millimeter of dab. This whole time I feel like I am full blown legit starring…again…You clearly cannot be under any type of influence putting this thing together, it looked like an intricate process…That was my entertainment for the evening, the buzzer goes off, and headed back to call it a night…
