TORONTO QUEENS STREET WEST & KINGS STREET WEST DAY 2

Today is Saturday, and we woke up 10am…No alarm, other than me freaking out that its 10am!!! I felt the need to hurry up and run over to breakfast at this place called Aziza Cafe. Google has 4.1 stars, so why not! It was not so busy, by a small little place.

After drinking my coffee, we just found out they only serve decaf coffee?? Wish I would’ve known prior to my 2nd cup of NON caffeine, I only noticed when she came to top us off that the pot had an orange lid….I asked if we can have regular coffee, and she said they only have decaf…pointless….

We both ordered eggs over an hour ago….

They finally bought the food over and we were supposed to get extra toast instead of potato for Eddie, I was supposed to get extra fruit instead of potato, we got neither. We also asked for butter 3 times…The toast substitute we asked for, they charged us $1.75 without ever mentioning it.

Total time there sit down to pay, 1 hour 30 minutes. Service was so terrible, there was no point saying anything about toast because it would have taken forever to fix. There was a couple sitting next to us that came a few minutes after us complained how long food will take, after server left saying gonna check, I said we’ve been here for an hour and haven’t gotten food yet. They put down money for their coffee and left lol.

We saw this cute little place that said Caffeine on the front, so since we had decaf coffee, this stop at Hula Girl was necessary.

We headed over to Queens Street West around 2pm…I feel like half our day was wasted at Aziza…Still don’t understand the 4.1 star ratings, but I’ll assume we came on a really off day.

Our first stop was at a cupcake place that resembled Sprinkles, but is called Dlish Cupcakes. Yes, it sure was. We split a chocolate cupcake that was legit out of this world…DLISH!!

I felt like a kid in a candy store waking down Queens Street West as there is so much to look at! Before we went on our big trip to Thailand and Dubai in April, we ordered shoes from Allbirds. Since we saw a pop up shop, we went in. Probably one of the comfier pair of walking shoes we have, and we just so happen to be wearing them!

Public House seemed welcoming, as it was kind of blah here, so time to sip a few beers, just known as Canadian Lager. I guess I like lager now lol. Service was great here too!!

We didn’t get very far until Jimmy’s Coffee waved us in…

This beautiful window display of eclairs caught my attention, but didn’t quite look so edible. Looked too pretty to eat so we continued on. Honestly, I’m not sure why I didn’t try..

We had to go into this Hocus Pocus Witchery & Lounge, and left empty handed. Wasn’t sure what to do here, but we looked around.

Some of the art and public displays here were really neat to look at.

We came across a friendly french macaron place called Butter and inhaled a Pistachio and dark chocolate. Cream was definitely creamy, I prefer outside with a crunch not soft like this one. I clearly ate it, so it was good!

Ohhhhhh!!!! Lululemon!!! I had a $100 usd gift card that was $133 cad, PLUS my Sweat Collective discount, I saved $44 pretax!! Wish I needed more things lol.

iHalo ice cream was a planned stop, little did I know it is inside the Lulu!! Charcoal and ube twisted soft serve…Jesus, I want to come back for more…I mean it also helps that everyone here was so smiley!

We made our way to Kings Street West, and oh lookie here….Gabby’s Bar where we each had a glass of Amsterdam Natural Blonde Lager. I guess I like lagers also! Our bartender have us a bunch of great ideas on places to go!

We only made it a few hundred feet later, and stumbled into Bar Hop where Eddie ordered a Dieu Du Ciel! Aphrodite, and I got Side Launch Wheat Ale. Crowded place, but service and food was really good!

Our “purpose” of stumbling in here was to order some finger foods…the wings are probably one of the best I’ve had!

The oysters were gone in 47 seconds…these things never last long in front of me.

Soma Chocolate…JESUS….dark chocolate in house made gelato…chocolate shot, and espresso….I’m beyond stuffed, and need to throw up now so I can walk…

Clearly, we don’t get very far and found a super cute little place called Locals Only. Our nice server commented on Eddie’s Cubs hat, and said how he loves the Cubs & Bears, and lived there!! We instantly bonded, cuz when he brought us our Local Pils, he also came with 2 shots of I’m not sure what….CHEERS!

We decided to walk 30 minutes back, or 1.4 miles back to our airbnb. That walk was definitely needed after everything I ingested for the day!
